Using our respite service means getting out and about

Respite is vital to give families a break from caring for their loved ones with disability. At HomeChoices, it’s also an opportunity for people with disability to learn new skills, increase their social networks, try new activities and get out and about.

Travis certainly chooses to make the most of his opportunities. A keen sportsman, Travis enjoys basketball, lawn bowls and tenpin bowling. Among his many achievements, Travis has completed his VCE, travelled around Europe, is part of The Young Ambassadors program and volunteers at two local primary schools.

Our respite service in Pakenham gives Travis and his aunt greater choice and flexibility in how they live.
