Community Links

Community Links is an exciting new project to give Home Choices residents the opportunity to broaden their experience, develop skills, and pursue their own interests which are vital to their personal growth and well being.

Sometimes people with disabilities in group homes have narrow friendship circles and limited community contact outside their small residential group environment.

Community Links will:

  • link people with disability with mentors from local community groups of their choice
  • provide support to the community group and the person with disability to maintain and strengthen their relationship

This new and innovative project funded by philanthropic trusts will initially run as a 12 month pilot program for residents in our shared supported accommodation houses in Melbourne.

We are currently recruiting a Community Links Coordinator to undertake this pilot project.
